Debate Shenanigans: Meridian Madness
Meridian Madness So, I have been seriously lacking lately, and this was a draft I wrote up like (MORE THAN) a month ago, but I don't want to change the tenses, get over it. Last weekend I had an amazing opportunity to compete at Meridian Madness with the Renaissance Speech & Debate team, this is one of many tournaments I've competed in, but it also happens to be the first I try a new speech format! Speech I participated in Radio Broadcast Speech for the first time, ever, this weekend. Speech has never been my thing, I tried an Original Oratory last year, and when I tell you I bombed it, it went up in flames. It was one of the most embarrassing moments in my life, I read off my paper (highly frowned upon by the way). Then I moved on to panel for a few tournaments, which is like a glorified socratic seminar.
